AboutVirginia Johnson is a textile designer and founder of Virginia Johnson Lifestyle. Her colourful prints decorate clothing, shawls, stationery, and home furnishings and are carried in more than 100 stores worldwide, including Barneys, Liberty’s, and Holt Renfrew.
CollaborationsVirginia Johnson frequently collaborates with other companies, drawing on her extensive archives to create unique collections across a range of categories. Recent collaborations have included Anthropologie, J.Crew and Chronicle books.
IllustrationVirginia has illustrated several books, including Deborah Needleman’s The Perfectly Imperfect Home, Teddy Jam’s This New Baby, and Kate Spade’s Occasions, Manners and Style. She is represented by Art Department in New York.
BiographyVirginia was born in Toronto and moved to New York after graduation to study at Parsons School of Design. After working as an accessories designer for Helmut Lang, she moved back home in 2001 and launched her own collection. She lives in her west Toronto neighbourhood with her husband and two children.
