New Backdrops of Italy and Greece

I just finished a series of backdrops of Italy and Greece, painting some of the places I’ve been inspired by in the last few years. Villa Balbianello sits on a promontory on the west side of Lake Como, in a town called Lenno. You’ve never seen a dreamier spot. My daughter and I ended up there almost by accident in 2022, during a stay in the city of Como, where I was visiting my shawl factory. We took a hop-on-hop-off day ferry and fell in love with the tranquil town of Lenno. We moved hotels the next day, to an inn across from the ferry station. Villa Balbianello is the breathtaking highlight of the town, apart from its ice-cream store and charming port. I painted two different backdrops of the gardens of Villa Balbianello. The last image, a scene of Greece, is a beach near Gythio, a place my family and I often go for day trips when visiting relatives.

The backdrops are available through John Derian in New York.
