Late last fall I devoured The White Lotus, a 6-episode series on HBO. It was the beginning of winter, and the saturated colours, Hawaiian views and eccentric characters captured my imagination. I was particularly drawn to the colour palette: the pink and greens, pink on pinks, mints and blues. Armond’s raspberry linen suits (meant to rumple as his character loses his grip) and bright Hawaiian shirts inspired the colours of my pink and green hollyhock Paloma caftan. Shane’s too-small mint polo shirt inspired me to add mint to my palette. Rachel’s tone-on-tone fuchsia dress, which she wears when she tells Shane it’s over, inspired me to add a pink-on-pink dragonflower print.

I can’t wait for the next installment, filming now in Sicily, which will see the return of Tanya, my favourite character, played by Jennifer Coolidge!
